Our bodies were made to move, they need to move. Through movement we can not only make ourselves fitter and stronger but we can access holistic healing by building a better relationship with and understanding of our body, mind and emotions. HATHA YOGA

WHEN: Every Monday at 7.30pm (60 mins)
WHERE: The Wych Centre, Civic Way, Middlewich, CW10 9BX

The intention of this session is to build strength and flexibility to support your functional every day movement. It’s a fun and energetic class that incorporates a warm-up flow, standing postures, seated postures, balancing, back-strengthening, core-work and inversions. We work to challenge ourselves in each posture but with ahimsa (compassion, non-violence) at the forefront of our approach. All levels, including beginners, are very welcome. Please bring your own mat or contact me in advance if you need to borrow one.

YIN YOGA

WHEN: Every Monday at 6.15pm (60 mins)
WHERE: The Wych Centre, Civic Way, Middlewich, CW10 9BX

My Yin Yoga sessions blend longer-held postures with somatic movement that is initiated from our bodies, rather than our minds. Each session will take you on a deep journey into your own body to support you to build a more meaningful connection with yourself. This practice is about ‘being’, not ‘doing’, with no right or wrong way to move. The session allows you to cultivate a practice a yoga practice that works for you whilst improving flexibility and joint mobility. Sessions are underpinned by Tantric philosophy, principles of embodied expression and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Suitable for beginners and no prior yoga experience is necessary.

SOMAYOGA

WHEN: Every Saturday at 11am (60 mins)

SomaYoga is a unique practice which blends together my favourite aspects of yoga and somatics to provide you with an opportunity for inner exploration. This is a body first, mind second approach to movement where there is no right or wrong and no expectations or judgement, just a space to ‘be’ rather than ‘do’. Moving between liquid flow states, yin poses, restorative pauses and intuitive movement this is an invitation to be guided by the direct experience of the body, rather than doing what the mind ‘thinks’ you should be doing. This session is informed by the methodology of the Soma Method. Working with the body in this way can be transformative, building a deeper connection with your authentic self, learning what you truly need and how you can support yourself in each moment.

RESTORE SESSIONS

An extended two to three hour session specifically designed to balance the nervous system and provide deep relaxation. These sessions blend a combination of offerings including embodied movement, restorative yoga, yin yoga, yogic sleep and sound healing. Sessions may also include tea ceremonies, cacao, journaling or oracle card readings. Each session works with a different theme and provides you with an opportunity to retreat, be nutured and experience sacred rest. Sessions are suitable for beginners and no previous experience of yoga or sound healing is necessary.

SHAKE THE DUST

Shake the Dust’ is an unique and transformative HIIT-like practice that combines yoga, body-weight, cardio, free/intuitive movement and dance to empower and liberate you!

Created by Satu Tuomela, and under-pinned by non-dual tantric philosophy, this is an embodied movement practice that aims to cultivate your body-mind-heart connection and bring more ease and freedom to your being whilst boosting the resilience of your nervous system. Supported by music we invite in sensation, explore, play and sweat! The result is a cathartic release, a stronger body, feeling lighter and a sense of joy!

Shake the Dust sessions are often incorporated into day retreats, extended sessions and weekend retreats with the occasional one-off session thrown in! Check the EVENTS page for any upcoming offerings.

PRIVATE SESSIONS

In addition to the classes listed above I offer private sessions of yoga, sound bathing and yoga nidra for individuals or small groups.
